The place where the castle was settled, was in the first place an Iberian settlement, then a roman fortress and later a Moslem fortress. The last ones were enemies of the christian King Sancho the Third, who decided that the castle were built in the XI century, so its territory enlarged to the next village of Bolea.
   The village of Loarre was born when its castle lost defensive importance in the XVI century and its population went down to the plane in order to settle. For that purpose, the stones comes coming from the castle were used. Its probably that the Hostelry were built with the same stones.
   The Hostelry is located in an old little palace of the XVI, fully improved so that its facilities can be enjoined. Its architecture combines three differents styles, aragones renaissance, baroque and neo-classical.
   It was used like a City Hall, school and teacher`s house for many years.
